Mansa Musa Authentic Jamaican Food The food here was absolutely delicious. The oxtail with rice and peas was outstanding—so flavorful I couldn’t stop eating. The jerk chicken was also great; the sauce had a slightly sweet touch, and the chicken was tender and moist. Service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant itself is beautiful with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu is fully halal, which is a big plus. There’s some parking available, and while they do serve alcohol, it doesn’t take away from the overall vibe. One thing to note: there’s a 3 per person charge for dining in, which was new to me. Still, I’ll definitely be returning for both the food and the service. Highly recommended.

Love love the food. The Jerk Chicken is so fresh and soulful. For the price, the portions are decent as well. The staffs are absolutely incredible. Will recommend to anyone who wants to try Jamaican cuisine.

Great flavours, well presented. As I walked up Poplar Road from the High Street, I could smell something great wafting it's way through the early afternoon air. I followed my nose and ended up in Mansa Musa. I waited a brief moment and the gentleman arrived to greet me. I requested a large curry goat with rice and peas. I was offered steam veg which I happily accepted. 10 (takeout) was handed over and I took a seat while the gentleman went and warmed my food. A few minutes later my food was ready, packaged in a sectioned tray with fitted lid. This is different to normal Caribbean takeaways, where it's customary to have a polystyrene tray wrapped with metres of cling film. I would have stayed in the restaurant and eaten it there, however the sign on the wall explaining it would cost me an extra 3 to eat in, detered me from doing so. After walking to the church up the road, and finding a suitable place to sit and eat, I opened the bag and found a well presented, reasonable sized portion of curry and rice. It was hot and tasted great, as good as I've tried anywhere in Birmingham. Would I return? Yes. Will I pay an extra three quid to sit down? No thanks. Which is a shame, as I would probably have purchased a cold drink to accompany my food. Instead, I grabbed one from Poundland.

The smoked wood burning away outside . My taste buds went crazy. As I stepped inside, the warm, reggae Jamaican infused atmosphere, modern decor , nice and clean with a good vibe . I ordered my food as this was my first time eating at Mansa Musa . Their customer service was excellent too. Delicious authentic food. Oxtail , Jerk Chicken, Curry goat , Mac & Cheese .... List goes on .
